About Google My Business
It is important to get on Google maps to help your customers find you.
Google My Business is the fast and easy way for businesses to manage their online presence with Google. Using the Google My Business dashboard, you’ll be able to:
- Maintain up-to-date business information on Google
- Build loyal customers using a Google+ page. Followers of the page for your business can show appreciation and give feedback with posts and reviews, and use the +1 button to endorse products and services on Google+, Google Search, Maps or on ads.
- Track engagement with insights for Google+ pages and posts
- See information on your related Google Analytics account and YouTube channels
- Seamlessly create and track performance of AdWords Express campaigns
Businesses with physical location or servicing local geographies get additional benefits. Once you verify your business on Google My Business, you’ll be able to:
- Help get your business found on Google. Google can use the business information you provide in local search results.
- Read and respond to reviews from your customers
- Get insights on how customers searched for your business, and where they’re coming from
How to get on Google My Busines

- Navigate to Google My Business.
- New to Google My Business? Don’t worry–all you need is a Google account. It could be the same one you use for Gmail or Google+.
- Choose one of two categories of local businesses:
- Storefront businesses: Choose this option if you serve customers at your business location (e.g. restaurants, hotels, and retail stores)
- Service area businesses: Choose this option if you serve customers at their location within a specific service area and you want your customers to see your service area on Google Maps (e.g. plumbers, taxi services, and pizza delivery)
- Brands, organizations, or artists should follow these steps.
- Enter the name or address of your business and select your business if it appears in the drop-down menu.
- If you don’t see your business listed in the menu, click No, these are not my businesses or I’ve correctly entered the business. You’ll then be prompted to enter some details for your business. Make sure you enter an accurate, complete street address, and a phone number which reaches your business directly.After you complete your business information, click Submit.
- Google will ask you to verify it to make sure the information we have is accurate. You may see one or several types of verification depending on the type of business you manage
- Navigate to Google My Business.
